Very hot mic, would not recommend for loud environments at all. I experience clipping with voice fluctuation while vlogging. (outside voice) I have a car channel and use multiple cameras, can't get anywhere near my exhaust without audio becoming a giant garbled mess. Not talking revs, talking at idle, 6ft away or less, and my car is not very loud. My on board mics work better, for everything loud. I've learned to use this mic situationally , pretty much never outside, even with the dead cat.
